Keep Our Children Safe
Our initiative is a National campaign to bring awareness to children safety in all forms of child abuse, sexual, emotional and physical, neglect, missing and exploited. This initiative is called “Keeping Our Children Safe: Community Response Intervention“TM. The community is help on knowing when to report child abuse so children are protected and safe. The initiative is about awareness of it, what safety measures to be preventive and results are keeping children safe. Our goal is to inspire every community nationally to bring awareness to keeping children safe. We hope to facilitate 25 community events before the 2015 year ends.
Child abuse is more prevalent in our society today. The world is increasing in evil and wickedness and there seems to be major sociological ills of family preservation. The sense of traditional families of a two parent home of heterosexual married partners deems to be declining. Blended, co-habitation and single parent homes seem to be the norm. The question of over-reporting and under-reporting seem to be a dual problem in addressing true response interventions of child abuse cases.
What about the children?
The children who are too afraid or small in stature to defend themselves gives no validity for abuse of any form. The children that God has entrusted us as adults to protect, shelter, educate, nurture, feed, clothe, and mentor for the purpose He has set before them. Children can be protected if concerned adults recognize the danger and report it to the proper authorities. Some abuse go un-reported because there is still a lack of comprehension of what abuse to a child without violating parental rights.
The federal government defines child abuse and neglect in the Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act as “the physical and mental injury, sexual abuse, negligent, or maltreatment of a child under the age of 18 by a person who is responsible for the child welfare under circumstances which indicate that the child’s health or welfare is harmed or threatened”.
